Owner's guide

Your Triple Fusion Massager — setup, first charge & how to use it

Ten minutes of reading here will save you a fortnight of wondering. Start with the first-charge section — that one solves the problem almost every new owner hits on day one.

Step zero

What's in the box

Two items. That is the whole kit — we do not ship bonus gifts, patches or booklets, so if something looks missing, it probably is not.

1× Triple Fusion Massager

The unit itself, with the traction mechanism, massage nodes, heating element and the control buttons on the side.

1× power cord

Charges the unit and powers it during a session. Keep this cord — it is the one the device is designed for.

Ordered the 2-pack? You get two complete sets — two massagers and two cords, packed separately.

The first charge — and the flickering lights everyone asks about

If you plug your new massager in and the lights blink on for a second and then go dark — no movement, no heat, nothing — your unit is almost certainly fine. Here is what is happening and exactly what to do.

Why the lights flicker and die on day one

Devices with built-in batteries are required to ship at a deliberately low charge. When you first plug yours in, there is not yet enough power to start a full program — so the controls light up, the unit checks itself, finds the battery too low, and shuts back down to protect itself.

It looks exactly like a dead device. It is not. Leave it plugged in and it will wake up.

Charge it for 3–4 hours before you use it

Use the cord that came in the box and a normal wall outlet. Avoid laptop USB ports, car chargers and multi-way hubs — they often cannot deliver enough current, and this is the single most common reason a unit "will not charge".

Keep it plugged in for the full 3–4 hours even if the lights go dark after a few seconds. That early flicker is not a signal to unplug and try something else.

3–4 hours · first time only

Do the long-press reset

Once it has charged, press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds, then release. This clears the protective sleep state the unit entered during shipping and storage.

You should feel or hear the motor arm itself, and the control lights should now stay on rather than fading out.

Hold 15–20 seconds

Reseat the cord, then start a session normally

Unplug, push the cord firmly back in at both ends — the wall and the device — and press the power button with a normal short press.

Put the unit on a flat, firm surface: a floor, an exercise mat, or a firm mattress. On a soft duvet, a pillow or a couch cushion the mechanism cannot get the leverage it needs, and a device that is working perfectly will feel like it is doing nothing.

Still nothing? We replace it — no argument.

If it is fully charged, you have done the long-press reset, and it still will not run a program, then it is genuinely faulty and we are not going to make you prove it three times.

Email us your order number and a short video of what happens when you press power, and we will send a replacement under the 1-year warranty.

Charging habits after day one

Top it up when the lights start dimming rather than running it flat every time — batteries in this class last considerably longer that way. A full top-up takes roughly 2–3 hours. You can also leave it plugged in during a session if you would rather not think about charge at all.

Everyday use

How to use it in a session

A session is 15–30 minutes and you spend most of it doing nothing. Getting the position right is the part worth a little care.

Set it on a flat, firm surface

Floor, yoga mat, or a firm mattress. Clear enough space to lie down fully with your legs straight or knees bent — you should never be twisting to stay on it.

Position it under your lower back

Lie down and slide the unit so its centre sits in the curve of your lower back, roughly level with your belt line — above the tailbone, below the ribs.

Start with your knees bent and feet flat. That reduces the stretch while you learn what it feels like. Straightening your legs increases it.

Hold the power button to start

The unit runs its program automatically, cycling through traction, targeted massage and heat. You do not need to change anything mid-session.

If the traction feels too strong at first, slide slightly further up or down so less of your weight sits on the peak of the mechanism, or shorten the session.

Lie back for 15–30 minutes

Let your back go heavy and breathe normally. Do not fight the stretch by tensing — the release is the whole point.

When it finishes, roll onto your side first and get up from there rather than sitting straight up. Give yourself a minute before lifting anything.

15–30 min · 1–2× daily

Do

  • Start with shorter sessions (10–15 min) for the first few days
  • Use it at the same time each day — consistency beats intensity
  • Keep knees bent if the stretch feels strong
  • Roll to your side to get up afterwards
  • Drink water — hydration is part of how discs recover

Don't

  • Use it on a couch, pillow or soft duvet — it needs firm support
  • Fall asleep on it or leave it running unattended
  • Use it on bare, broken or irritated skin
  • Push through sharp or radiating pain — stop and check with your doctor
  • Run four sessions on day one hoping to speed things up
Building the habit

A sensible first month

You do not need to ramp up aggressively. This is roughly what works for most people — adjust it to how your back actually responds.

WhenSessionWhat you are likely to notice
Days 1–3 10–15 min, once daily, knees bent Warmth and a stretch through the lower back. Some people feel mildly worked afterwards, like after a good massage — that is expected.
Days 4–10 15–20 min, once daily Getting up from a chair or out of the car starts taking less effort. Morning stiffness usually eases first.
Week 2–3 20–30 min, once or twice daily Nerve pain down the leg tends to settle here. Sleep often improves before anything else does.
Week 4 onward 15–30 min, daily maintenance Most people keep going daily because stopping brings the tightness back within a week or so.

Best time of day

Evening suits most people — muscles are warm, and you get the decompression right before a night of lying flat. If mornings are your worst part of the day, use it then instead. The time that you will actually do it every day is the right one.

Looking after it

Care & storage

There is very little to do here, but these few things are what separate a unit that lasts years from one that does not.

Keep it happy

  • Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it
  • Unplug it before cleaning, always
  • Store it flat, somewhere dry and out of direct sun
  • Top the battery up every couple of months if it sits unused
  • Coil the cord loosely rather than folding it sharply

Avoid

  • Submerging it or cleaning it under running water
  • Solvents, bleach or abrasive cleaners on the surface
  • Storing it in a car, garage or anywhere that freezes or bakes
  • Stacking heavy things on top of it
  • Using a third-party cord that did not come with it

Safety & who should check with a doctor first

Talk to your doctor before using it if you

are pregnant; have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device; have had recent spinal surgery or have hardware in your spine; have a fracture, osteoporosis or spinal instability; have an active infection, tumour or unexplained back pain; or have reduced sensation in your back or legs from a nerve condition or diabetes.

Stop using it and seek advice if

you get sharp or worsening pain during a session, new numbness, tingling or weakness in a leg, or any loss of bladder or bowel control. That last one is an emergency — go and get seen the same day.

For external use only. Never use it while asleep, in the bath, or anywhere wet. Keep it away from children and pets. This is a wellness device, not a medical treatment, and it does not replace advice from your clinician.

Troubleshooting

Nine out of ten messages we get are one of the first three below — and all three have a fix that takes minutes.

This is the day-one classic and it is a flat battery, not a fault. Units ship at a deliberately low charge for safety. Plug it in with the included cord for 3–4 hours — keep it plugged in even though the lights went dark — then hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to reset it. It should start normally after that.
Check three things in this order. First, the outlet: use a wall socket, not a laptop USB port, car charger or multi-way hub. Second, both ends of the cord — push each in firmly, they are easy to leave half-seated. Third, try a different wall outlet to rule out the socket. If none of that helps, contact us.
Nearly always the surface. On a couch, mattress topper, pillow or thick duvet the mechanism cannot get leverage against your body weight, so a healthy unit feels like it is barely working. Move to the floor or a firm mattress. Also check the position: the centre of the unit should sit in the curve of your lower back, level with your belt line.
If the heat is running but the traction and massage are not, the unit is powered but the program has not started. Hold the power button rather than tapping it — a short press is not always enough to launch a full cycle. If it still will not run the mechanism after a full charge and a long-press reset, that one is a warranty case.
Put a thin cotton t-shirt or towel between your back and the unit. Do not use it directly on bare skin for a full session, and never use heat on an area with reduced sensation. If it feels genuinely hot rather than warm, stop and contact us.
That is the low-battery cut-out. Charge it fully — 2–3 hours for a top-up — or simply leave it plugged in while you use it. If it cuts out on a full charge, let us know.
A steady mechanical hum is normal. Grinding, knocking or a rattle is not. Stop using it, do not try to open the housing, and send us a short video — this is covered.
Email us your order number plus a short video showing what happens when you press power. That is genuinely all we need. Manufacturing defects are covered for 1 year, and you also have 90 days to return it for a full refund for any reason at all.

Still stuck? Talk to a human.

Send your order number and a short video of what the device does when you press power. We answer every day, and we would much rather fix it than have you give up on it.
